Within all fifteen counties in Arizona, the Sheriffs are statutorily responsible for the conduct of search and rescue missions
(ARS 11-441). Each Sheriff shares resources throughout the State.
SRDI is endorsed by Pima County Sheriff’s Department and is the K9 component member of
Pima County's Search and Rescue Council, Inc. (SARCI).
Our K9 teams meet or exceed Arizona Sheriff's SAR Coordinators Search Dog Standards
and the criteria for FEMA 508-8 Typed Resources.

MISSION STATEMENT:
Southwest Rescue Dogs, Inc., (SRDI) provides highly skilled K9 search teams (trained scent detection dogs, trained dog handlers, and trained search assist persons) to support Search/Rescue/Recovery efforts for Pima County Sheriff's Department.
